Gross Revenue:

For example, imagine you run an online retail store that sells handmade jewelry. In one month, your store generates $10,000 in sales from customer purchases. This $10,000 would be considered your gross revenue.

Net Revenue:
Net revenue is derived from deducting all costs and expenses related to generating that income from the gross revenue figure. It represents the actual profit left after subtracting various expenditures such as production costs, overhead expenses, taxes paid, employee salaries, marketing expenses, etc.

Continuing with our previous example of the online retail store selling handmade jewelry: let’s say you incurred $3,000 in production costs (including materials and labor), $1,500 in marketing expenses (social media ads and influencer collaborations), $500 for website maintenance fees and transaction processing fees ($0.30 per transaction + 2% of each sale).
